Good day fams., I am a fresh microbiology graduate in one of the southern Nigeria universities, my initial plan is to stay back in Nigeria and run my second degree ( in medicine or nursing) but one of my uncles here in Lagos recently told me that he want me to travel abroad and do MSc. public health ( he is sponsoring me). I have met with different people concerning this issue but they are all giving mixed suggestions and as I am like this am seriously confused. pls nairalanders, which would you suggest that I choose, should I stay in Nigeria and do a medical course or go do MSc. in public health abroad.

Penn down why you want to do either of the choice available to you and place it side by side your long term goal. Based on this, make your decision.

Your choice should be based on your plans...choose what is best for your own goals

Why not talk to your uncle to rather sponsor you to study medicine outside Nigeria?



But public health is also a great course..... If you're really good with microbiology, you'd have better opportunities over there as they make great inventions these days..... Especially in virology....
