The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 501 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 78,434. Three new deaths were recorded while there were 519 recoveries. Lagos State topped the list.

The 501 new cases are reported from 15 states - Lagos (218), FCT (112), Kaduna (53), Plateau (24), Katsina (21), Kano (16), Yobe (14), Ondo (10), Ogun (9), Edo (7), Bayelsa (5), Rivers (4), Borno (4), Osun (2), and Ekiti (2).

The breakdown in the tweet of the NCDC shows that the 501 cases were from 15 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 218. The Federal Capital Territory followed with 112 cases while Kaduna State had 53 cases. 519 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 68,303 from 67,784. Three new deaths were recorded.
