I had the same experience on the 13/12/2020 with my GTbank account. I Lodge a complain on the 14/12/2020 and the customer service asked me to fill a card dispute form, then my card was blocked. She told me it will take 90 days to resolve my case. N4,077 n N6,117 was the unauthorized debit I got.

This is how it happened.
On the 12/12/2020 at 10:24pm, I went to a POS to withdraw 2k. The first attempt after putting in my pin the POS machine went off, same thing with second attempt. It was the third attempt the POS transaction was successful,I got my debit alert and my balance was intact. On the 13/12/2020 around 2:30pm to 3:00pm. I decide to check my balance through my mobile app, that was when I discovered my money was wipeout leaving only N600. Till date I didn't recieve debit sms of those two unauthorized transaction in my gtbank account.

This fraud is very common with gtbank account. We need to call out the gtbank on social media to refund our money. By tomorrow I will Lodge a complain at cpd in CBN.

It is simple:
Have two or more accounts: Don't have an ATM card or internet banking on the account containing your major funds. While you can have ATM cards and internet banking on the others having marginal funds.
When you need to do big transactions from your major account, go physically to the banking hall, the cashiers will want to bully you into having ATM card and internet banking, insist you don't have a smart phone. They will do your transactions over the counter.
If they are obstinate, request to close the account and move your funds to another bank.
Never let them force or cajole you into doing internet banking and ATM card on your major account.

Bro, trust me, internet banking or not, ATM or not, this fraudsters are something else. I happen to practice this exact pattern you just highlighted. On a particular day i got a text message informing me that my account has been successfully opened with a new account number sent to me, I already have an account with this bank since over a year which I have been using as my savings. Mind you, I don't have any ATM or bank app for this account, all my transactions have been strictly physical, that's a method i use to restrict myself from dipping into my savings. My elder sister happen to work in this bank so immediately i got the message, I forwarded it to her on WhatsApp hoping to get an explanation, in about 10minutes time she called me and said the account was opened for me from one of their branch in OWEERI, my BVN and all my details are correctly linked to that account according to what she can see from her computer screen, brethren, I have never been to any of that bank's branch in owerri. She then flagged my main account for possible fraud and blocked it immediately. According to her it's possible my account has been cloned and anything I can do on my main account might be done with that same account. I still wasn't comfortable with the whole precautions, I left my office that hot afternoon and headed to the bank, withdraw ALL my money into my regular account and used the funds to purchase crypto just to keep it away from that account until further notice. This singular act was my saving grace, about two hours after I did this, I started getting mobile app successful login notification continuously for my main account with that bank, this is an account like already mentioned, I have never used for any online transaction, I don't have an ATM for and I have no mobile app installed for it, I have continuously and consistently gone to the bank each time there is need to withdraw cash.

One significant thing my sister said was that she was certain this was perpetuated by a bank staff.

If your sister is a banker she suppose to tell you how to unearth her colleagues behind the act, she should have directed you to report this account cloning fraud to the fraud control unit of the bank. The Audit unit of the bank can trace any staff of the bank that logged into your account and the mandate form used to open the account can be traced also. In the absence of authorising mandate form signed by the customer. The staff that profiled the online login details will be arrested for fraud easily.
For a start submit a petition and request your account officer and branch manager to initiate the enquiry for you.
It's not enough to complain that Nigeria is bad. Do something to stop evil when opportunity knocks!!!!!!

Thanks a lot for this. My intention was to abandon the account entirely, but just as you've highlighted, we all just can't continue working away from evil without even attempting to correct it.

If you don't have ATM or internet banking, you can confidently hold the bank responsible for any fraud on your account

You need to configure your server on Tor, there are few command lines you might need to do that, but even if you have your own server, will the processing power be enough. But there's an alternative, which is an hosting service
Just like a traditional web hosting, there are hosting devices on dark web, some hackers even leaked the list of hoping services sometimes back, you also need an TLD called .onion, just like we have .com .net .Ng and the likes, .onion is used in the dark web
I can't explain everything here, and I don't think you should have any reason to want to create a website on dark web .
.
I already know at the first bolded . So i want to know if getting a.onion domain is free ? And the last bolded , grin grin cheesy i have alot of reasons

It's free, you can generate an onion domain anytime, it's generate by Tor, ICAAN is the organization In charge of normal domain names like .com, but I case of .onion, ICAAN is not incharge
Sites created with .onion domain can't be accessed with a normal browser, you need Tor

It is safe to say that 90% of all bankers are crooks one way or the other worldwide.. They are responsible for all leaks within and outside the financial institution.. They sell bank logs, erase traces, give out cheques, deactivate notifications(sms, email), bypass security for external culprit and in return, they share in the spoils.. This cut across all genders.. Be warn people.

I lost 141k last month in Owerri. I went to a Bar called Orange Grove and after drinking and eating I paid 21k because we were about 9 in number.
The next day as early as 7am I started getting debit alerts by 15kper withdrawal.

I nearly died that day!

I called the Bank and they were acting stupid on the phone. Then I called a friend that work with the bank and they had to block my account.

But before they could block the account, they fraudsters have successfully withdraw 141k from my account.

I went to the bank but they said the withdrawal was made online via one useless Portal. And then they inform me that I can't get the money.

I was terribly angry and couldn't do anything about it.

Nigeria don cast!!
did you use pos or Mobile transfer? If you use the latter, nobody will access your funds. But if you use pos, then that is where they got a hold of your details. These guys have keyloggers and card reader attached to POS..
