MTN will just credit my line with a borrowed 1G data valued at N350 and valid for one day.
Surprisingly, I did not request for the data.
And their customer care insist I requested for the data and transaction cannot be reversed.
Happened twice in two weeks.
I don't do Facebook daily, and I never sent Y to 606 to borrow.
Anybody experiencing this?
How do I stop it?

Stop recharging your MTN line.

Get another Sim card, a different network.

Are you same as the Op?

How did you know that he does not have the required NIN to register a new SIM card?

Exactly my plan.
Thanks.
But getting another sim in this NIN-sim link era, you know SIM registeration has stopped.

Is the registration for new SIM cards now on hold?

I thought the government extended the deadline.

How about porting your MTN line to another network?

You are speaking like them customer service reps.
I buy my data, I do not need to borrow.
This thing happened twice. If I forget the first time, did I forget even the second time?
And nobody use my phone, apart from me.

Cancel all auto renewal on your line or call 180 to do it for you.
Re: MTN Data Borrow By Force by AdaugoChisom(f): 9:43pm On Jan 01, 2021
That's one major implication of this phone number linkage to NIN...you can't link more than 3 numbers...now network providers can borrow you data or airtime at your detriment because they know you can't throw away your Sim. grin grin
