Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, emerged winner at the 8th annual university challenge competition organized by BOB television.

Schools that participated are Delta State University, Abraka, University of Port-Harcourt, University of Nigeria, Nsukka and the Creative Art Film and Media School, Accra.

The annual competition showcases documentaries and short movies produced by students of mass communication and theater arts.



ABU presented an 18 minutes' documentary on alternative medicine which showcased a herbal drug; herb 25- the plasmodium antidote, an alternative medicine for malaria, produced by Professor Hadiza Nuhu of the Pharmaceutical science faculty.

The winners' were presented with the sum of N1 million while the Director General of National Orientation Agency, Mal. Idi Farouk pledged the sum of N250, 000 to the department.
