Nollywood has lost yet another gem as a veteran actor, Jim Lawson Maduike is reportedly dead.

The Imo-born thespian died today, January 9 after reportedly complaining of body pains at around 12 pm.

Before his death, Maduike was a famous Nollywood actor, radio broadcaster, writer, voice-over artist, filmmaker and a television personality.

He joined the film industry in 2004 where he starred in several films.

His death comes days after the demise of popular Yoruba actress Folake Aremu, popularly known as Orisabunmi.

Wow,God have mercy ,I loved this man acting career ,he make it look so real ,RIP sir,am afraid that this days whenever you see an elderly actor in the movies is either he or she is sick or dead..come to Jesus to be saved and famous forever .for we were called unto him to live and reign with him forever partaking in his suffering,death,resurrection ,eternal life ,riches,glory and eternal fame ..only in him we can find and understand what real life is all about..

Wow! I almost missed this anniversary! RN2 (yes, I still call it RN2) is 40 years old today!

From NBC2 (Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation 2) in Ikoyi, to Radio Nigeria 2 (RN2) on Martins Street, to Metro FM in Ikoyi again.

It used to be on 97.6, then it moved to 97.7 in the early 2000s.

This station introduced me to Sonny Irabor, Joseph Akinyemi Johnson (J.A.J), Boniface Onogwu, Vin-Martin Ilo, Momoh Kubanje, Willy Egbe, Ohi Alegbe, Jones Usen, Ihria Enakhimio, Aloma Nwogbe, Godwin Asuquo, Ndidi Osaka, Femi Sowoolu, Phil Ushie, Jim Lawson Maduike and many other fantastic broadcasters.

I suspect that it's the first FM station in Nigeria.
