Okay guys I need your counsel here. I am contemplating between the 06-2010ML350 OR 08-010 MDX I need a good,reliable SUV. I don't travel that much,i do a lot crusing round town. With good ride stamina for Long distnace journeys Once in a long while. Just need something GOOD. Need your thoughts on this two.

ML350, it has a more Reliable engine, I've worked on both of them before, I can boldly tell you 272 engine in the Mercedes is very reliable. It's more powerful and fun to drive. Just ensure you get a good mechanic to help you inspect the car thoroughly before purchase.

The 360° steering turn of Benz won my heart to the brand. Acura dope as well though

There is no parameter apart from fuel economy where the 06-08 ml350 beats the 08-10 Acura mdx.
The mdx will leave it in the dust. Handles better and has a better awd.
You can't even compare the interiors.

Buy what you like though.

I own a 2008 mdx and a 2013 ml550 and the mdx handles better. . . .go figure.

Your are right. I own a 2012 Ml350 and the ride is too bouncy for my liking. I am planning on installing bilstein b6 performance shocks. read on mbworld that it transforms the ride.

The Japs are catching up real close o! Acura & Lexus are solid competitors without spending a premium.

Their resale value, especially Lexus speaks for itself.

The MDX is way better.

Mdx all the way. 240hp vs 300hp. Mdx na bomb.ml 350 na for fashion.tho its more thicker n ground clearance is higher than mdz,but add 2" spaces on your suspension n your mdx go become 4runner height

my comment was in relation to steering. I was transitioning from a sportier , stiffer control. The Merc offers a softer, more luxurious experience which I have come to love more.

wussup Bizzle. How has been your experience so far with the 550? how is the maintenance, fuel consumption like compared to the MDX? Is the ride as reliable as the MDX? what do you like and hate about the ride? Your opinion having owned both vehicles is highly valuable.

Looking at both vehicles but the business blood in me can't seem to justify shelling out the extra millions for the benz for the extra 100 horses. I doubt the benz can produce up to 400HP anyway given how terrible our petrol is. Or is there a way to get over this premium fuel requirement for both vehicles?

Almost settled for the E550 but its not an SUV. I need something with big tires and good ground clearance that can cope with our roads. Or is there a way to fit like 20 Inch rims on the E550 and also raise the height. I'm inclined to think the car will handle differently from how it was designed to if i do, that's if it is even possible.

You are right about the steering... I drove my wife's honda after a while and I almost felt something was wrong with the steering. I was surprised I could feel almost all the road imperfections on the steering. Me I prefer the luxurious ride

bizzle2 are you using any octane boosters? I am naturally an aggressive driver don't know if octane boosters are still necessary given the pros and cons I have read online

I used to be worse than you. Infsct my brake pads were still factory cos I hardly apply brake and speed anyhow,aggressive driver switching lanes till one night e set for me at 175kph weybi get accident due to distraction. Better drive softly and relax. All these aggressive driving is to show off to who. No g get accident o.
