FG will soon ban them. What foolishness. These are the exact reasons the centre is against decentralised policing.

All the average Nigerian wants to do once he attains power is oppress his neighbour.

This is what we had said long ago. Yes, a devolved law enforcement system is absolutely fundamental to qualitative security service at all levels but this is NOT the way to go about it.

There was no prior wide ranging consultation on the architecture, structure, functions, limitations and so on.

Amotekun was just a rushed, knee jerk reaction to the cascading wave of crime in the southwest and now the ill conceptualised outfit is showing its flaws.

The danger here is that its trademark could be irreparably damaged before it has the time to reform and worse still is the ammunition it gives the enemies of restructuring of not jist only the sevurity architecture in Nigeria but the entire workings of this country. What a pity.

Won't the promoters of the status quo ante just be licking their lips now.

Obviously.. but they won't succeed.

Sadly it's still Southern media they'll pay to tarnish the image of Amotekun. Sahara reporters, egbere media and the likes are already doing the job quite well.

Amotekun is here to stay. SW will not harbour kidnappers and bandits from whererever.

When Gov Makinde took over the mantle of leadership in Oyo, I was optimistic that he will do a Good job, which he was doing until the recent change of happenings in the state which is occasion with a lot of innocent people being killed for no reason, people who are trying to make a living. Gov Makinde should wake up and act. You use to be a proactive leader.

Some of the natural predatorial tendencies in nature are still largely displayed by some humans...the moment they sense any form of weaknesses in you, It triggers an Attack mode in them.

the Uniform in this case symbolises strength, while an average citizen is in form of a weak Prey to them...

It takes a highly 'self aware' human or a very 'just' system that checks and balances itself to instill mutual respect in this case...if not, I'm afraid we will continue to experience this ugly side of nature which I guess some humans are yet to evolve away from

Amotekun shouldn't dance to the tune of those who want to see them fail and all APC urchins in the south west should understand that history has shown us that if Oyo falls the rest of the region falls with it. Some evil unfortunate bastards wants to continue from where their forefathers failed but they don't understand that ibadan which was setup as a military outpost is a land of fighers and worriors, we will mine the skulls and sell it at soka. Bloody bastards.

They can continue to hunt and kill you in South East while your coward governors and leaders fold their arms and do nothing but you see South West, we value life and peace more than anything. No amount of media trials and persecution will stop the Security outfit created and backed by law in South West, Nigeria.

In order to have peace, you must prepare for war.

The main problem we have in this country is who we are as a people. An average Nigerian is egocentric, give him a little edge and watch as he turns himself to a mini god. From the uniform men to the civilians, from the leaders to the followers, we are who we are.
