NCDC Records 1883 New Cases As Total Cases Exceed 130,000 by Newsbreakers: 11:31am On Jan 31, 2021
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 1883 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 130,557. One new death was recorded while there were 932 recoveries. Lagos State is reported to have topped the list.

The 1883 new cases are reported from 23 states- Lagos (1040), FCT (298), Anambra (86), Rivers (54), Taraba (45), Ogun (42), Oyo (40), Akwa Ibom (38), Sokoto (30), Ebonyi (30), Imo (28), Kaduna (28), Osun (27), Kano (21), Benue (19), Edo (17), Gombe (15), Ekiti (9), Delta (cool, Jigawa (3), Kwara (2), Bayelsa (2) and Plateau (1).

The breakdown of the NCDC tweet shows that the 1883 cases were from 23 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with a total of 1040 cases. The Federal Capital Territory followed with 298 cases while Anambra State had 86 cases. Find the breakdown in the picture below.
