He wants it to be open so that they won't say he doctors the result if it shows the son does not to the man. In order words, the woman in question, may say she does not believe in the result if the man does it all alone without carrying her along.

2- if the child was switched at birth the child would definitely not have any atom of the woman's DNA.(which means the child would not have the man's or the woman's DNA).
