“I was captured in the Federal Government’s Amnesty Programme before, and was being paid N65,000 per month, but my uncle who helped me to get the job said he wants to be collecting N20,000 from the money. “However, because I said no, he removed my name from the programme. The above caught my attention! See why Nigeria's problem won't go away? As for the mumu man, the 300k used to buy the gun and ammo can start up a decent business but no, they want to be rich overnight! To think he has 3wives sef 2 Likes |

Jesse6: Do you know how much Military Generals earn per month? Yet they are partially or wholly involved in the sponsor of banditry and terrorism. The problem is not their salary but the system. 6 Likes 1 Share |

This is the sorry state we’ve gotten ourselves into. That soldier if true he sold it, his life is not safe and that of his family too for those guns they are selling to criminals will be used to kill or render them incapacitated. And to those leader who embezzles security operatives money, may those money not save you all. |

Tonymario58: It is the reason insurgency will not stop. It is already a big business involving multinational corporations. It hardly stop. Check countries having insurgents......Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, some parts of Pakistan, Yemen, Colombia & Mexico have drugs added to it Here we have people that are making money from kidnapping, buying guns & ammunition from rogues & agents, who in turn supply from either US, Pakistan, Syria, European countries. So it is a big business. More guns are entering this country in large numbers, soon many groups in different region will be buying guns for security against herdsmen terrorism. It won't be just a business in Borno & yibe states alone. 2 Likes |

The rate of insecurity in this country is quite alarming. How do you explain the proliferation of machine guns into the arms of a civilian that was supposed to be for military operations ? When the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse becomes inevitable. Time will tell |

It’s not even the soildiers fault. Nigerian government is just giving out weapon without accountability. Like when an AK 47 goes missing, what’s the punishment? NOTHING!!!. This is why we can never have nukes. 1 Like |
