A Church in Brazil has launched a project to build houses for its poor and homeless members using part of tithes and offerings paid into the church.

The Assemblies of God church at Lagoinha in Araruama, a municipality in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has constructed and delivered dozens of houses to its members, most of them women and jobless.

“We use part of the church’s tithe and offering for the project. It is not fair to be living big when several members of the church are living in abject poverty,” said Fábio Mendonza, the pastor of the church.

“The word of God says there will always be the poor amongst you; do not forget them, Deut. 15:11.”

According to the pastor, they also rely on competence from church members who are architects, bricklayers, painters and carpenters, who are involved in the projects as volunteers.

Commendable, sadly this can never happen in Nigeria though,.

Any person that's not a chosen priest of the Most High God collecting tithes is a thief.

Only chosen priests from ISREAL bloodline are commanded to receive it and it must be in a temple. Unfortunately their is no longer a temple and Isreal has not been restored back to their land, so no one is allowed to take tithes. If you want to pay, use it to help the poor.

The Messiah will return when the 3rd temple is built according to Malachi 3:1-3 and He is the one to sanctify the true priests before any offering or tithes can be collected. For now, help the poor and don't listen to robbers.

In this part of the world, the only people that benefits from offerings and tithe are the offering/tithe collectors..
