Hello great Nairaland followers... Thank you for finding time on our thread. We have always promised to bring to you up to speed our work progress in different locations. This project is a community project by Rotary Club Who contacted us to carry on this task. Currently, the school Toilet facility for the student is pit toilet which is very much delapidated and out of use for a while. Our task here is to completely change it to water cistern and introduce good sanitary system for both girls and boys. Total number of toilets is 10... To be upgraded from pot toilet to water cistern and wash hands with urinals and water taps introduced... Find attached the picture gallery of the work stages. First, we would be sharing the 3D model designed by Dennis3D ™ who us the contractor on this project... You can call it a community project carried out by Rotary Club of Ojodu in fulfillment of its role to touching lives of people... This project is been done in the tenure of the Opportunity President during the Opportunity Year of Rotary.

Fast Forward to Start Up. We removed the existing roof completely. Introduced a screen wall to create privacy for the students. Coz at it is, no privacy at all for the facility. The screenwall also would have new features like the wash hand basins and taps too. We proceed with the foundation of it below... 2 Likes 1 Share

Taking delivery of plumbing piping materials for the facility... We are introducing floor drains to each of the toilet for waste water and ease of cleaning... Something it never had though... Keep following up with us for update on this.

We are introducing new door heights. The existing one was very low. Just 1.6m. So we are making them 2.3m height with a 200mm clearance to elevate the floor for new tiling.

Horlardorjah: Its possible but the overhang on the structure wouldn't allow for that and also the distance between the screen Wall and the building itself. I would upload the one we are doing here...

We intend to introduce some wall tiles inside the bathroom at 300mm intervals on the wall below after creating a new floor tile area both in and outside the screen wall area too. Bringing quality to this structure is just key. |
