On Monday, after I returned from Day 1 of the ICAN Western Conference 2021, I decided to unwind. That is, switch from work mode to family mode. I turned on the TV and tuned it to TNT Africa.

It was there they started a movie known as Gladiator.

Gladiator is a year-2000 epic historical drama film directed by Ridley Scott. It is about a Roman General Maximus Decimus Meridius, who was betrayed when Commodus, the ambitious son of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, murders his father and seizes the throne.

Reduced to slavery, Maximus becomes a gladiator and rises through the ranks of the Arena to avenge the murders of his family and his Emperor.

Maximus who, a general of the entire Roman fleet was betrayed and reduced to nothing. However, he did not go into depression, neither did he give up or think of suicide, he picked up his life where it stopped then move on.

When it boils down to your exam, some students will just give up after one or two defeats, instead of making it a burning desire to achieve the needed exam success no matter how many times you tried. No matter the number of times you fall, no matter the obstacle standing in your way.

Like General Maximus who made it a goal to avenge his Emperor and family that was murdered, you too must make it a goal to qualify in your ICAN exams.

So, if you have given up or abandoned it, now is the time time to wake up from your dogmatic slumber and write at least one paper, this diet, so as to break out of the circle of procrastination.

Nevertheless, the choice is still yours to make either to move on or dwell in the past which always complicate things.
