Imagine that. 18 communities resources being used to serve one giant refinery. If it was up to PHCH, they will be getting only 3 transformers and average of 6 hrs power supply a day.

650,000 barrels per day is no child's play. If Dangote manages to run it at 50% capacity, he tried because the way the fuel price is climbing so high without commensurate increase in wages, Nigerians may soon resort to firewood for cooking and solar powered vehicles.

I guess the average politician swear an oath to some satanic agents to do the bidding of Satan(stealing killing and destroying) once in power.

In as much as we can do better than this,
this is much better than the years of the locust
We are getting there and we will get there as a nation.

God bless Nigeria.

Says the number one supporter of PDP the looting party that destroyed this country for 16 years.
For 16 years that they looted BILLIONS of DOLLARS, they couldn't build just one refinery for the nation.
And dem still dey open mouth dey talk.
Shamelessness @ it's peak!

Instead make u cover ya face somewhere,
Make people wey no vote for either APC or PDP dey talk,
u still dey yarn okpata.
What a Shame!

Meanwhile....

Borrow some knowledge from this reasonable and intelligent member below.
We know reasonable and intelligent members when we see one.

Seebrian:
Sometime I wonder what is wrong with our leaders. You mean since 1960 till date, no past President could execute such an important project for the country to cut down wastage of resources of refining our crude oil abroad? The same thing with our power sector, year in year out not improvement. Can we say these leaders are bereft of ideas or what? With plenty of advisers and ministers to guide them right, yet nothing seems to be working.
Truer words have never been spoken.
This is one of the few reasonable comment on this refinery issue.

Seebrian:
Okay, thanks for the enlightenment. But those leaders that took over power and spearhead the collapse of our refineries should be held accountable.
Exactly our point here.
But hypocritical way of life and politics have blinded some people, so they will never talk about it.

An Oligarchy Of Monoply Business Of Dangote
Another Reason Why Electric Cars Business Will Not Succeed In Nigeria.
I'm very sure people like Thiefnunbu , B.Fashola and Femi Otedola are all bonafide shareholder of the investment.

Dangote will so deal with Nigerians ehn, una go smell pepper. This refinery is the worst thing that will ever happen to Nigerians, people just don't know it yet.
If you doubt me, how much was sugar and cement before dangote's monopoly, how much are they now?

The reason dangote succeeds is because there is weak enforcement of Anti-Trust and competition law in Nigeria. The day we enforce competition law in Nigeria, Dangote is finished. How would someone buy up cement companies and shut them down because you don't want them to rival your inflated priced cement?

Why didn't the Nigerian government grant Michelin this waiver back then. Many other companies relocated to Ghana because of that

That refinery is more important to Nigeria than 18 communities, even hundred communities or even one state in Nigeria. The economic benefits in terms of Job creation, Oil product prices, etc.

I am not excited cuz Dangote never reduces the price of stuffs.

A typical example is his Cement plant at Ibese.. I remember how he promised to reduce the price of cement to N800 / bag upon completion.

He never did..
