Our parents aren't always right... That's why someone became the president of a country that once sold fuel for 87naira per litter.

How much is fuel now?

Nice op. Also on people...

1. Generally, people are more likely to assume you're being rude when you're being honest.

2. Don’t chase people. Be you, do your thing, do what you like doing. The right people who resonate with who you really are will come naturally and stay.

3. Saying Thank You, makes people think you are a warmer person.

4. Great things happen when you distance yourself from all the negative people.

5. People don't know themselves. Almost 98% of population lack body wisdom.

6. People who do something for you will never forget you and people who do something bad to you will never forgive you.

7. Sometimes you have to do what's best for you and your life, not what's best for everybody else.

8. Always be honest so when you have to lie, people will believe you.

9. Respect people who find time in their schedule to see you. Love people who never look at their schedule when you need them.

10. Being with positive, happy people keeps you happier. So feel free to talk to me if you ever feel depressed. wink

11. People don't listen to the smartest person in the room, they listen to whoever acts as if they know what's right.

12. Ironically, the person you'd take a bullet for sometimes ends up being the one behind the gun.

13. Other people's opinions should never affect the decisions you make. It's your life, not theirs. Do what makes you happy. The people who try to keep everyone happy end up feeling the loneliest.

14. If you really want something from someone, frame it as an offer rather than a request.

15. Whoever is trying to bring you down is already below you.

16. People who are too nice are also the once to get hurt most! Mind how you're nice to people. Set your standards.

17. If people don't realize your worth, then they don't deserve to be with you. Don't allow people who don't appreciate you to let you down.

18. If you really want something from someone, frame it as an offer rather than a request.

19.People will remember not what you said, but how you made them feel. A good reason not to over focus on what you did and didn’t say. Creating a small distance will help people realize how much you mean to them.

20. People who are spiritual and thankful for what they have are least likely to be depressed…so always count your blessings smiley

Some basic rules I learnt from my mentor years ago:

1: Judge Nobody, Different feet; Different Shoe sizes.

2: Nobody Holy; We live in Sin-City.

3: Control the narrative; People believe what you want them to see or think.

4: Money isn't made, it's simply transferred from one perception to another.

6: Don't get attached; You are the constant, all other stuffs are variables. They come and go.

7: Forgive never forget

8: Avoid Familiarity, One person always gets hurt.

9: Play by the rules.

10: Any relationship with a runs girl is basically business.

11: Good isn't always Good & Bad isn't always Bad, There's a Balance.

12: Once an Asshole, Always an Asshole. Loyalty isn't forever.

13: There's Fate, There's also Choice.

14: If one doesn't ask & you extend a hand, they never appreciate.

17: Don't start what you can't finish

18: Mistake was made, No big deal... Apply damage Control
