Phillippians 2:6-11

Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.
Instead, he gave up his divine privileges, he too the humble position of a slave
and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled
himself in obedience to God and died a criminal death on the cross.
Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name
above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven
and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess the Jesus Chris is Lord
to the glory of God the Father.

The above scripture is often called the Christ Hymn, revealing the Christian believe about the nature of Christ. It affirms the Christian believe in the preexistence and divine nature of Christ.

Christ is not simply another prophet. He was present with God the Father from the very begining and he is the one through whom the universe was created. As the son of God, he shares the nature of God himself.

The above scripture also affirms that Jesus Christ came to earth in an act of immense humility, the infinite God became human. Jesus Christ, the glorious Creator of the universe, died as a sacrificial offering for the sins of human beings so that we might be forgven and be reconciled to God.

The above scripture also affirms that God raised Jesus from the dead, has given him "the place of highest honor" in heaven, and conferred on him the title "Lord"

CONCLUSION

One day, all created beings will bow before him and acknowledge that he is Lord of the entire universe, deserving of the worship that God alone is worthy to recieve.

Rev 5:8-14

And he took the scroll, the four living beings and the twenty four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp, and they held gold bowls filled with incence, which are the prayers of God's people. And they sang a new song with these words:

"Your are worthy to take the scroll
and break its seals and open it.
For you were slaughtered, and your
blood has ransomed people for God
from every tribe and language and people and nation.
And you have caused them to become
a Kingdom of priest for our God.
And they will reign on the earth."

Then I looked again, and I heard the voices of thousands and millions of angels around the throne and of the living beings and the elders.
And they sang in a mighty chorus:

"Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered, to receive power and riches
and wisdom and strenght and honor and glory and blessing."

And then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea. They sang:

"Blessing and honor and glowy and power
belong to the ONE SITTING ON THE THRONE
and to the LAMB forever and ever."

And the four living beings said, "Amen!"
And the twenty four elders fell down and worshipped the Lamb.

Can I hear a big Amen and Hallelujah to that cheesy

Are u still in doubt? Pls don't

God bless wink

Why should Jesus be worshiped? Was he not meant to have been a "humble" being? Why should humble beings demand worship? Does that not go against their humble nature?

Moreover, the divine nature of Jesus is no big deal because we are all divine in our true nature, so perhaps, we should all demand to be worshiped by others. Christians should just stop harping on about Jesus' divine nature because it is really not that relevant in today's world. WE ARE ALL DIVINE IN OUR TRUE NATURE.

Why should Jesus be worshipped? --- >>> Good question

Because as Christians, we acknowledge that we owe everything to Jesus, especially regarding our salvation. We recognise Jesus as our master and Lord. Things of this world that people like u cling to are of no value to us and nothing compares to the infinite value of knowing Christ. That is why we worship him.

Was he not meant to have been a "humble" being?

Sure! It is this nature of his that made God elevate him to the highest place of honor making him worthy of Worship.

Why should humble beings demand worship?

Matthew 4:10

Get out of here, Satan Jesus told him. For the Scriptures say,

"You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him,"

Amen wink

1 Corin 8:5-6

There may be so called gods both in heaven and on earth, and some people actually worship many gods and many lords. But we know that there is only one God, the Father, who created everything and we live for him. And there is only one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom God made everything and through whom we have been give life
