I bought a Nigerian used car and I registered it with my existing plate number. I was not given a new proof of ownership but given a document called Existing Plate Number Certificate (Re-Registration)”.

Does this serve as the new proof of ownership or I still have have to get a new proof of ownership?

Thanks for your swift response sir .
But I wasn’t given a new proof of ownership, I was told that my old one is enough. Should I try to get a new proof asap (I don’t know if it’s possible), that contains the details of the new vehicle or I should wait till when I want to renew my papers cos I don’t want to give this our friend (Police) a chance at all.
