But it is actually a symbiotic kind of relationship as both the video creator and the viewers benefits from the channel.

There are two aspects you should focus on if you would want to increase your subscribers.

1. YouTube Algorithm

2. The Viewer

And you have to optimize your video for both aspect to get significant results.

To optimize your video for YouTube Algorithm, the below would help you:

State what your video is About

Do keyword research (short and long tail on your topic)

Include Primary keyword in Title & Description

Write at least 500 word description and use 5–7 Secondary keywords.

Say your primary and secondary keywords out loud during the video because YouTube automatically transcribers the video and if it see’s that your keyword is not even mentioned once in video, it would think something is fishy.

Quality of your Video: YouTube judges the quality of the video by following data:
Comments
Likes
Shares
Views

Channel Longevity (it has minimal effect, which is good news so if you channel is new, your video has good chance of being shared)
So, when anyone leaves comment on your video, always respond to it because it will increase # of comments & it will engage users.

To optimize your Channel for the Viewer:

ADD video Thumbnail

Make your thumbnail stand out from other search results on your keyword.

Video Title
Include titles such as:
How to
Guide to
Secrets to
etc. because they get more clicks since users are there to solve their problem and these type of titles suggest, how to solve that problem.

First 15 secs of video
Engage users in first 15 secs of your video. Tell them:
The problem
Prove that you are qualified to solve it
Proof that others have seen results with this solution.
This would help you get started in getting more subscribers but please note, its a long process and takes time.
