Definitely rich in phytoplankton; plant like protist, and probably cyanobacteria. The same. Phenomenon happens in the ocean. It's not really the water but rather the angle at which the sunlight is hitting the river, and the living things inside reflecting the green colour. Combination of both.

Akwaibom is an amazing state.No one ever leaves Lagos to Akwaibom and comes back to Lagos. Life is so easy over here. I got admission to do my masters something I have being trying to achieve in unilag for 5years, renewing my international passport as easy as ABC, eat quality yet affordable food, good road Network, hospitality top notch.
I was able to save,invest and build in the choicest part. Though things are pretty expensive,you can always go to Aba for shopping. I never regretted leaving Lagos for one day. It's a virgin state for investors.

Probably there is a large limestone deposit close to the River source.

Lots of large limestone deposits around the Cross River basin so this is likely the cause.

Such large concentration of these minerals would alter the color of the water.

I hope no one is taking a cup of water to drink from this place until it is certified not harmful to human health.

List the industries striving in AKS.

With sound leadership and building from the infrastructure akapbio did.
Aks can turn ibom to tourist attractions.

Bring factories to the area and help develop that port that is the deepest in Nigeria.
