Content is effective at advancing career and business because it’s easy to get started. You don’t need expensive overhead.

Most content requires just a computer or smartphone.

Digital media have zero marginal cost of reproduction.

Content creators can “build once” and distribute to millions of people without any extra effort. Creating content helps you sell your creativity online and make a living doing so.

Creating content has its own difficulty.

It takes time, iteration, and tinkering to find something that works. There’s a simple solution:

The easiest way to start creating content online is to become a content curator.

A content curator takes existing content, organizes it, and then publishes it to build an audience. There’s so much content online. It’s hard for the average consumer to keep up with everything happening in their niche.

Curators make information accessible to the average content consumer.

Curated newsfeed: Find the best sources of news in a particular niche. Filter only the best for others.

Expert directories: Create a list of top experts in a field for people to follow.

Curated video channel: Collect the best videos on a topic. Share them on a YouTube channel. Add your commentary on why you think the videos are good.

Slideshows: Create a slide presentation of the best examples or models. Upload it on a site like Slideshare.

Learning curriculum: Make a curriculum of the best sources of learning for a particular field. Add commentary on how people should use them and in what order.
