It's been awhile I did this
Been running round
And puttering
Trying to make a shape
Out of this mound

Its been awhile I said this
Staring bug eyed
Looking lost like a ten year old
Unsire of my footing
Unsure...of my ego

It's been awhile I made this
Tinkering with my hammer
And my chisel
At a mound so shapeless
At a mound so Flawless
That only I could see...

It's been awhile I wrote this
My hand poised on the wall
Full of many prints
From ages long gone
From hands now dim with age
And I wonder...will my print
Make sense

Its been awhile
An awful long while
I actually smiled as I walked the mile
To the pile
To vent my vile And...
And free the bile
It's been awhile.
