If someone is held against his/her will at gun point and the victim is only released after negotiations and ransom is paid; Nairalanders please, what is that called?

That was exactly what happened 2 days ago to someone I know along Admiralty Way in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.

The Kidnappers requested for Millions of Naira, but as God would have it, they collected less than a million Naira and freed the victim.

Kidnapping or 'One Chance' are increasingly rampant now; hence the need to be vigilant of our surroundings.
