Sometimes, it's best to buy a car with straight bodywork cheap, with a tired / dead engine. At least, once a new one's fitted, you know its history.

I don't subscribe to the idea of down grading a decent fuel-injected engine to a carburettor one. Fuel injection is inherently more reliable than a carburettor, and is set up to provide optimum performance and fuel economy.
