Missionary Martyr Leviticus Makpa
news that Fulani Bandits were coming to the village spread like wildfire. Leviticus told his missionary team to gather in the mission compound while he went and gathered the villagers with himself in another compound. This simple action of dividing the groups prevented a total massacre. When the bandits entered the village, they headed straight for where the villagers clustered around Leviticus. He asked them to take him and let the villagers be. He asked them to let his son live. They rejected his plea for his 2 years old boy, who they shot in the stomach. They shot Leviticus in the head. They shot the other villagers in their legs. They hanged around for 12 more hours and then they left.

Meanwhile the other missionaries in the mission compound all escaped into the Bush and are alive and well today. *Leviticus - like his Lord - offered himself for his village and for his team.*
