The King of Street Foodz Naija Season 2 competition has emerged! Fayana Oluwafemi Adegboyega – La Krim Foodies, has won the title of ‘King of Street Foodz in Nigeria’, for showing Creativity in his style of cooking during the fierce cooking battle at the competition's grand finale, which held at Alao Bashorun Park in Gbagada on May 23rd, 2021.


Following tough deliberations by the Judges Tosan Jemide known as Chef Tosan, Etteh Assam known as Chef Ette and International guest judge Chef Alex Mccoy, Fayana Oluwafemi owner of La Krim Foodies was crowned the Street Foodz King 2021 after a creative dish of potato pancake and chili sauce winning him the grand prize of 2 million naira cash, scholarship to a culinary school, rebranded outlet, and Devon Kings products!


Also rewarded were the 1st runner up Owoeye Damilare Ayotunde –Chef D Naija and 2nd runner up Alimi Akorede –Koredespaghetti, who also got the sum N1,000, 000 and N500, 000 cash prizes respectively.
All selected 13 contestants who made it to the voting round of the competition with the 2 contestants brought in via wild card also got themselves renovated outlets courtesy Devon King’s.

The Grand Finale event was well-attended by a controlled audience due to Covid-19 restrictions/guidelines and hosted by Elozonam. Attendees were treated to games at the Devon King’s Arena and also enjoyed the different street Foods and Drinks as well as music during the event.
Category and Brand Manager, Devon King’s, Mrs Toyin Popoola-Dania shared her excitement when she presented the prizes to the winner. She stated “As you may be aware, Devon King’s is well-known for providing consumers with quality products that make meal times/moments of bonding more enjoyable and memorable. In line with this, we are a perfect match for street food business owners as they are able to make their meals with quality and equally affordable Devon King’s products hence giving their customers tasty meals.”
She also stated that the next year’s edition promises to be bigger, better and more exciting.
