Twitter's Founder/Chief Executive Officer, Jack Dorsey believes Nigerians will lead in Bitcoin transactions despite the ban. He also has expressed his confidence in the future of Bitcoin in Nigeria.

Despite the Central Bank of Nigeria's (CBN) restriction on financial institutions participating in Bitcoin trade, he stated that Nigeria will lead the push for the largest cryptocurrency by market value.

Dorsey's comment comes after the Nigerian government stopped Twitter's operations in the country, citing the microblogging and social media platform's double standards and frequent use of the site for actions that could jeopardize Nigeria's corporate existence.
