Fear Grips Ecobank Staff As Management Set To Sack 30% Of Bank’s Staffers

Staff of Ecobank Plc are living in fear as there are reports of mass sack looming over them.

This medium learnt that thousands of the Bank’s staff are expected to receive their sack letters on or before Friday, 2 July, 2021.

We gathered that over 30 percent staff of the bank are expected to lose their jobs and this has sent shock waves down the spine of all workers of the bank.

According to reports by Orijo Reporter, most of the workers who are expected to be sacked are from the defunct Oceanic Bank which the bank bought over few years ago.

This medium learnt further that affected workers may ended up getting peanuts as gratuity.

According to report, the last time such retrenchment exercise took place in the bank, the biggest gratuity paid by the bank was N200,000.
