Hello Nairalanders, I want to buy a new car and I'm considering a 2011 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T SE. Has anyone used this car here before and please is it a reliable car to use and what are the common faults it gives. Thanks in advance for your enlightening contributions. |

It’s a good car.. fuel consumption is perfect.. so far so good I’m enjoying mine.. just make sure you maintain it well |

My mum uses the regular 2.4 2011 model and I drive it sometimes too...got the car in April 2019 and it hasn't had any mechanical problems since then.. just normal servicing I've read and heard from a lot of people that the 2.0T is not very reliable |

Even the 2.4L GDI engine do behave like ogbanje not to talk of the 2.0T engine. If you must buy that car get the 2.4L engine 3 Likes |

kingreign:No, not my experience. I really like the ride and considered getting it so I did some digging. The consumer reviews on various platforms is worrisome, premature engine failure is the order of the day especially the turbo variant. There are few threads on this forum pointing to same engine failure too. Mo ya look away. 2 Likes |
