Bentley Bentayga Hybrid is powered by 126hp electric motor sandwiched between a turbocharged 3.0L V6 combustion engine and an 8-speed transmission gearbox. The electric motor and V6 combustion engine contributes 433hp and 516 lb/ft of torque.When the hybrid Bentayga is started, it automatically begins in its EV-only mode, one of its three drive modes, the powertrain decouples the V6 engine and powers the SUV via its 17.3 kWh battery alone for 18 miles before coupling its V6 engine. Despite the Bentayga’s even run on its electric motor only, the electric motor needs the assistance of the V6 engine when approaching greater speed. The EV-mode provides a cruising relaxed ride then when pressing down the accelerator, an haptic function stiffens the pedals to indicate that the electric motor has given its all and needs to summon the V6 engine for more power. The pedal also vibrates when reaching lower speed area or approaching a road junction, so that the driver slows down, lifting foot off the pedals.
