There shouldn't be a straightforward rule on this. By default it should be a shared responsibility. They stay with the father sometimes and with the mother sometimes. If one of the parents is incapacitated, like being a drug addict or unstable lifestyle, then they custody could be exclusive to the other. The courts should consider all the facts on ground 1 Like |

Both parties should act on the best interest of the child Example If the mother earns.... <<< 60,000 a month <<<< Lives in the ghetto in one bedroom not conducive for raising kids <<<<has a demanding job/boss <<<<Emotionally stable with great personality The father earns.... <<<<<250,000 per month <<<<< lives in a nice suburb <<<<<Does not have a demanding boss/ hence can come home on time <<<<<<Emotionally stable with great personality.. Who amongst the two do you think is capable of having the custody of the child |

But, if that, is not an option, then,let the husband leave the nice suburb, for the mother and children. Split his salary, for his children school & upkeep. gssdobi:Facts don't care about feelings or rhetorics. Mothers are not capable of raising good children alone (lots of children raised by single mothers are criminals, constitute nuisance in the society or in jail) but fathers do a better job. In the case of divorce, the father should keep the children while the mother visits and drop money for the children's upkeep. Father's love is the ultimate. |

gssdobi: OK....I understand that you have never been in that situation before that could be the reason it was easy to say... neither have I... But picture it this way....U Built a house with your sweat... got a spouse that u lived with for 3years... U had irreconcilable differences that made your spouse move out with your 2year old... While seeking for the custody of the child, the court ruled that u should vacate the house so that your spouse and the kid can come in because it's a better place to raise kids... that u should look for somewhere else and rent... Are you very sure that u will be happy with the ruling?... if you are indeed sure then you are one of the rear species that is difficult to find in human race ... |
