Roma reach €45m Abraham agreement

The Chelsea striker is set to join Jose Mourinho in Serie A

Roma have reached an agreement with Chelsea over the transfer of Tammy Abraham, reports Di Marzio.

The out-of-favour Blues striker has been the subject of transfer speculation since Thomas Tuchel took charge in January, and it appears he is on the brink of freedom and additional playing time.

The fee is said to be €45 million (£38m/$53m) overall - but just €5m will be paid up front.

Lyon some way off landing Shaqiri

The Liverpool Echo reports that Lyon are still some way off agreeing a deal for Xherdan Shaqiri.

A Swiss midfielder has seen an exit door opened at Liverpool, but Ligue 1 suitors will need to raise their offer in order to get a deal pushed through.

Everton interested in Longstaff

Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff is the subject of interest from Everton - according to The Athletic.

Rafa Benitez coached the 23-year-old at St James' Park, and wants to arrange a reunion at Goodison Park.

Longstaff, who only has one year left on his current contract, made 22 Premier League appearances for Newcastle last term.


Leicester set sights on Lingard

Leicester City have set their sights on Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard - according to Football London.

The Foxes will look to try and sign the 28-year-old if James Maddison leaves the clubs amid ongoing links with Arsenal.

Lingard spent the second half of the 2020-21 campaign on loan at West Ham, scoring nine goals in 16 appearances.

Milan to step up Kessie extension talks

Milan are planning to step up talks over a contract extension with Franck Kessie, according to Calcio Mercato.

The 24-year-old has just entered the final 12 months of his current deal, but the Rossoneri are ready to tie him down to fresh terms.

Milan will offer Kessie a new €6 million-per-year agreement that will see him remain at San Siro for the long term.

Ndombele considering Tottenham future

Tanguy Ndombele is considering his future at Tottenham - according to The Athletic.

The Frenchman was left out of Spurs' friendly win against Arsenal at the weekend and head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has said that he is not yet ready to join his squad.

Ndombele is still tied to Tottenham until 2025, but will consider moving on this summer if the situation doesn't change

Stones signs five-year Man City contract

The centre-back's partnership with Ruben Dias will continue far into the future

John Stones has signed a five-year contract extension with Manchester City, reports The Athletic.

The deal, which runs until 2026, is said to be worth worth £250,000 per week.

It will keep Stones at the heart of the defense into his mid-30s as the club have signalled satisfaction in his partnership with Ruben Dias at the back.
