₦31.8 Million Scam: Carol Ngozi Arraigned For Selling Land To 30 Clients by Hugged: 6:58am On Aug 19, 2021
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Abuja arraigned Princess Carol Ngozi alongside her company, Carolina Luxury Homes, on Wednesday

She was docked before Justice Hamza Muazu of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Maitama, on a 30-count charge bordering on obtaining by false pretence.

Ngizi allegedly, on various occasions, obtained the total sum of N31,825,000 from thirty of her clients.

She collected the monies under the pretext of allocating to them various plots land at Carolina Luxury Homes Estate, Gousa District, Abuja.

The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges when read.

Olumide Olujimi, their counsel, informed the court of a pending motion for bail filled on August 16.

Olujimi pleaded that Ngozi be admitted to bail on liberal terms.

Faruk Abdullahi, EFCC counsel, did not oppose the application. He urged the court to give conditions that will ensure that the defendants are available for trial.

Justice Muazu granted bail to Ngozi in the sum of N30million and a surety in like sum.

The surety must have a landed property within Abuja Municipal Area Council with original document submitted to the court.

Ngozi was ordered to deposit her International passport. The matter was adjourned until September 17.

Most developers in Nigeria especially Lagos and Ogun state are guilty if this. Infact they will be surprised about this news. They call it paper allocation and not physical allocation. The physical allocation could happen in few years time
Their marketers will tell their clients that they will get their allocation immediately without telling them what kind of allocation they will get.

The reason there is so much crime in Nigeria is cos of the very slow judicial process and police corruption.
This woman is more likely to walk away free after about 6 months of gragra from the court

That's what most of them do... They connive with surveyors in the area councils to grab ppl's land to convert to estates. I recently went to check on a property in kurudu only to discover that an estate fencing around where my plot is located. I carried out a search to know if the plot was reallocated but no it's still very much intact. Na make area council com go show me my plot dis week I dey so

Land issue for Abuja no be small thing ohhh, for you to get rest of mind just go one existing and well recognized estate to buy ur thing, which one be Caro estate it's does not exist anywhere in Abj, people go dey allow them selves to be scammed...
