Job Title: Communications Officer Type of employment: Indefinite Full Time Employing Firm: Griot Studios Ltd Recruiting Firm: Pesher Consulting Ltd. Location: Abuja JOB OBJECTIVE(S) ▪ Ensuring company communications are influential, informative and engaging for our stakeholders. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES ● Develop, implement and maintain effective communication strategy based on company target audience and objectives∙ ● Analyze the effectiveness of strategy and prepare corresponding reports ● Ensuring that all communication and marketing content aligns with the company's brand identity and message. ● Create and plan public relations strategies and campaigns when the need arises ● Create, edit, schedule, and distribute content that communicates the organization's culture, brand identity, values, activities, products and/or services. ● Liaise with colleagues to develop, edit and quality control content for publication. ● Maintain a media library for use across all communication platforms. ● Staying up to date with the latest trends and technologies that can be used to strengthen communication strategies. ● Managing audience engagement, feedback and comments ● Maintain records of media coverage and user generated content, and collating analytics and metrics. ● Develop and record performance indicators to monitor and evaluate the impact of our communications activities. ● Creating and maintaining effective relationships with media actors. ● Maintain and create a database of respective media actors. ● Coordinating publicity events and the production of respective onsite materials and branding as required ● Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand (attending press engagements, responding to media inquiries). ● Support Marketing, PR and Advertising Consultants ● Other communications duties as required by management KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS Academic • B.Sc./HND • Must have completed NYSC Experience • Minimum 2-3 years relevant post-NYSC experience Knowledge • Microsoft Office (MS Excel & Word) • Canva or Similar • Social Media Insight Tools • Facebook Business Page Tools • Instagram for Business Tools Skills • Effective communication • Planning & Follow-through • Good interpersonal skills • Multi-tasking Reporting Relationships Reports to: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR DIRECTOR(S) PROJECT MANAGER(S)/PRODUCER(S) MARKETING, PR & ADVERTISING CONSULTANTS Other Job Requirements WORK CYCLE: • Monday - Friday (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) • Weekends as the need arises: • Transportation reimbursement • Not more than 2 weekends in a row Application Instructions Send CV and cover letter IN PDF FORMAT by email to info@pesherconsulting.com, with “Communications Officer” as the subject of the mail.
