Non the two laptops will serve you well here are my reasons.

1. AMD Ryzen laptops are laptops with CPU built for light heavy games and graphics, but are not good for heavy use, of working and can lead to your laptop generating heat which can inturn burn the main board or processor.

2. For the kind of work you need to do it's obvious you will read and study most times overnight, and your laptop will most likely be turned on or on hybernation, I will strongly advised you go for Corei5, Corei7 laptops be HP or Dell reasons are that the Corei laptops are built for heavy use capacity that will enable you use laptop for all round 24HRs working compared to an AMD Ryzen processor board which are not built to such tenacity and capacity.
