Lampard is not a bad coach, vindictiveness against some old players haunted him. He surpassed expectations when he used existing rookies in his first season, but he wanted to get rid of some old players was the genesis of his downfall. Couple of matches now, especially Brentford vs Chelsea, we could see the old pattern of chelsea pressing at half time and suddenly almost being consumed by opponents.

You see, thats d mistake many people make in football these days. many people think that d abramohvic model of football ownership can simply be replicated anywhere, anytime. getting "the right players" isnt as simple as having a deep pocket. if u remember, abramohvic was able to buy alot of players but a lot of them turned out to be flops. so it doesnt always boil down to just having d money and being able to afford anyone.

In footballing terms, Newcastle are in a very peculiar situation which all d money in d world cant get them out. theres a whole lot of things that newcastle needs to get going for it before it can succeed. money is just a tiny aspect of that equation. the club has just 3 points from 8 and it is second bottom. the first challenge is to escape relegation. which big name coach and big name players would want to come to newcastle to start d battle of relegation even if they could afford them?
