Wayne Rooney has revealed his new look to the world after posting the first picture of himself following his hair transplant surgery.

The 25-year-old had the treatment at Queen Anne Street Medical Centre in London last week, and after the operation Tweeted to his followers that he was "delighted with the result".

The England striker added that he was too bruised and swollen to post a picture at the weekened, but on Monday morning he posted a picture on image sharing website yfrog.com showing off his improved hairline.

"Hi all, there's my head," Rooney wrote in a message alongside the picture.

"It will take a few months to grow. Still a bit bloody but that's all normal," he added to explain the slightly painful appearance of his bonce.

I don't understand what all the beef is. he is one of those people who bald quickly - like Prince William who you can see is already thinning on the top of his head and they aren't even 30 yrs yet. if he can afford it why not - whats the big deal.
I'm not a fan of cosmetic surgery but if you can afford it and feel it will enhance you or boost your confidence or whatever - why not.

Not a Man U fan, and certainly not a Rooney fan and though I personally wouldn't opt for plastic surgery myself (even if I could afford it) I really wonder at some of the comments here:
Because he has done this he is gay all of a sudden?
And because he is naturally going bald he should just simply deal with it like everyone else?
I know we are all entitled to our opinions but surely what the man wants to do with his own head is his business!
Quite obviously going bald at such a relatively young age was affecting his confidence and ego somewhat. As a human being and more importantly as a man, I can empathise. As a Liverpool fan myself, I couldn't give two hoots. Frankly whether we support the club he plays for or not, neither should we.
I beg leave the man and his head alone. 
He has made a personal choice for HIMSELF. Somehow find such a choice should concern NO ONE ELSE.
I wonder how many of us would be honest and bold enough to splash our imperfections over the web for all the world to snigger at.
