Lewa deserved 2020 not 2021. Messi is the favourite because of copa America. Poland was eliminated in the group stage and now they will be in playoffs. Apart from bundesliga which they have won from last 9 years. FIFA club wc where mostly European teams thrash others. If only 60+ goals matters than Messi would have won more than six.

I love Messi and Ronaldo alike, but if Lewandowski had won this award, it wouldn't have caused any controversy whatsoever because he surely deserves it.

The award was cancelled unfortunately last year (due to covid). He picked up from where he stopped the previous season and broke records last season and yet his best was not good enough.

I guess like all popular awards, it's a popularity contest, reason why I don't respect these awards.

Trophies and Game Stats are it for me. I'm done with award shows, it's all politics. angry
