People were on sunday (28/11/2021) thrown into pandemonium in Agaie Local Government Area of Niger State as a beggar accused of scamming people of their hard-earned money.
The beggar who was identified as Abubakar from Kwara was said to have possessed some magical powers who his victims are those that give him charity.
Some residents that begging has been the suspect's business for a long.
"This has been his long-existing attitude in several markets across the state... Once you give him charity the remaining money in your pocket will go to him."
An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity said.
Niger State Latest News gathered that in a reaction to the matter, Agaie Local Government Committee on Revenue and Market Supervision has banned the suspect Abubakar from all the markets within the Local Government area and further instructed the general public to report him to the securities if found in any of its markets.
