Sounds great, what a fantastic news.

. Rhor followers make una sorry but this mumu don do. We can’t be watching SE play in such shambolic performance and expect we the good fans to keep mute. Wetin happen gan gan. Under Rhor, team wey no get any level go dey play SE as if say dem dey use us do training. It won’t be an understatement if i say ordinary Somalia will dominate Eagles in ball possession under Rhor. Under Rhor all the small small African teams has that mindset that they can defeat SE home and away. So what else do we need him for ? The team is not playing good football yet some myopic pple we say it is result that matters even when we struggle to score 1 or 2 goals and haven’t been keeping clean sheet. Other than 2018 world cup qualification Rhor has done absolutely nothing since then and the SE performance has been retrogressive.

Some players know they'd be leaving with Rohr.
All those that lobbied him to play will soon start shouting and crying.

Eguaveon should use the passionate and talented players.

We saw it coming, but the replacement isn't just good enough. Amunike would have better he coached some on these players in their U-17s.

I think the NFF is looking towards another foreigner on a permanent basis so the interim person has to be one who they are familiar with and comfortable with. He may not be the most competent but he is an establishment person which will help a permanent transition.

What I am personally persuaded about is that he cannot be worse than Rohr.

Nigeria football can never be great when everything is based on politics as far as Players call up is concerned. If Nigeria football really has a sense of direction Players like Ahmed Musa who doesn't have a club and a bench warmer will not even be closed to 100 caps by now.

Nigeria has talented footballers all over Europe and even some playing for European heavyweights. Until Politics and Nepotism is eradicated from Nigeria football players like Tammy Abraham, Tomori and others will keep rejecting the super eagles.

Long overdue.

It's high-time we stopped wasting money on foreign coaches.Club football has various nationalities, with different native languages, that play,so the coach can come from anywhere.

A national coach should be part of our national identity. No top national team uses foreign coach.

We should stop wasting forex on foreign coaches.Since we had been doing that, what have we achieved?

Nigerians are among the best in other fields of endeavor, globally, why should sports be different?

Let us use the forex we waste on foreign coaches to develop and expose our local coaches, locally and internationally.

We should learn to fail or succeed with our local coaches, even if it's going to take us 20 years to develop one local world-class coach!

Do we even have choice? what successes have we achieved with foreign coaches??

Enough of short cuts to success failure!

i guess u are a cheasea fan y not appoint chelsea ex only

The best ranked team in the world today which is Belgium is coached by a foreign coach. The problem is not just getting a foreign coach but getting the right one with a beffiting profile. What do you think if Pep Guardiola or Jurgen Klopp were to be Nigeria coach?

I don't think you watch football at all for such a comment. Below are list of nations with foreign coaches;
Belgium — Roberto Martinez Spanish
England — Fabio Capello Italian 2010
Ghana — Milovan Rajevac Serbian 2010
Morocco — Herve Renard French
Denmark — Age Hareide Norwegian
Columbia — Jose Pekerman Argentine
Mexico — Juan Carlos Osorio Columbian
Switzerland — Vladimir Petkovic Bosnian
Australia — Bert van Marwijk Dutchman
Egypt — Hector Cuper Argentine

You want to leave this Rohr to do what? Rohr that cannot beat Cape Verde Rohr that got beaten by Central African Republic in our backyard Rohr's team that has been playing without any identifiable pattern...Only good at scouting and experimenting players

You want to leave Rohr only to crash out at the group stage of AFCON

Your post is poorly researched. Nigeria won the African Cup of Nations for the first time on March 22nd, 1980,and Emmanuel Okala was the man at the goal post. The Tunisia was the second time Nigeria would win the cup. Correct yourself.

Yes ohhhh

Rohr’s statement: Drawing against Cape Verde is like a win for Nigeria. That was a backlash and an insult to Nigeria.

Rohr lacks ambition. He is very uninspiring.

He always made the Super Eagles look like the underdogs in every match he led them into. Always talking about the team still growing, and not yet in competition for the top prizes. He never inspired the Super Eagles to go the extra miles.

And some of his uninspiring speeches, especially when we lost to minnows, were really annoying. I remembered the rubbish that came out of his mouth when Madagascar spanked us at the last AFCON.

I also remembered his uninspiring talk before our first match against Croatia at Russia 2018. It was like he was telling Nigerians not to expect anything spectacular because the team was still young.

I wish him best of luck in the future. But he needs to become more inspiring. That you have a young team does not mean you can't achieve something spectacular with them. When you are uninspiring, it flows into your team as well. If the coach is confident of giving the big boys a run for their money, the players would be inspired as well.

There is no best time to sack Rohr.

We don't have a team under him. So, he won't be missed. It is not like we have a team that would win the AFCON 2021 anyways.

All Rohr has done in 5+ years is experiment.

Interim, ok. But make Amuneke the substantial coach. NO MORE 3RD AND 4TH CLASS WHITE EUROPEANS.

Former Nigeria captains Augustine ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha, Nwankwo Kanu and Garba Lawal have been appointed to provide technical and ambassadorial support for the crew.

Eehm... was Garba Lawal included for federal character or what. There are many better options.

Garba was a highly technical and disciplined player during his playing days.

His contribution would be valuable.

TOPCRUISE:
I hope Nigerians that called for his sack are happy that we are back to square one. The last time a Nigerian coach was in charge, our fifa world ranking was 70th position on July 2016.

Under Rohr, we were in square one.

He was lucky with qualifiers, but his luck was certain to run out soon.

In fact, it had begun to run out with strings of shambolic performances from throwing away a 4-0 lead to Sierria Leone right in our backyard, to hitting blank in Freetown, to getting beaten in Lagos by Central African Republic. And playing for a draw against Cape Verde to secure a playoff spot. Before, Rohr used to qualify earlier. But his luck had begun to run out.

It would certainly have completely run out during the playoffs, if we met a more determined team than Cape Verde, or a technically sound team.

This clueless ones that are now put in charge will return us back there.
How can we sack someone that qualified us with ease to the nations cup and world cup knockout stages and we expect our football to improve. How can we sack someone who improved our ranking to 34th position in the world. We have never learnt our lessons and it shows we are still immature.

Rohr was clueless, and only had luck on his side.

The only help he has rendered us is a provision of a pool of talents which subsequent coaches can tap into without wasting funds on scouting.

If we can sack Stephen Keshi who won AFCON for us after 18 years wait, then what is the achievement of being 34th in the world, and still playing patternless football, and having no stable first 11?

Nigerian coaches has taken us nowhere.

Aside Otto Gloria and Westahoff, what have foreign coaches done for us?

Every Group stage qualification are with the use of permutation, combination, statistical probabilities plus prayers under a Nigerian coach.
I see no future for the super eagles under these ones which are not only unskilled in the job but are reputed to be fraudulent and corrupt.

Despite qualifying with a game to spare, what has Rohr achieved with this team. There is not even a team to start with. He used 5 years to build, and yet we still don't have a stable team.

We had an easy qualification to the 2018 World Cup, but how did it end. We were booted out in the first round.

We had it easy going to Egypt as well, and ended up with our usual trophy (a bronze medal).

Rohr has not helped our football at all.

Under him, South Africa recorded their first competitive victory over us, and they did so in Uyo, right under our noses, dominating proceedings and leaving with a 2-0 victory.

Madagascar beat us 2-0.

CAR beat us 1-0 in Lagos, with the Eagles playing like learners.

Sierrie Leone came here and got a point against us, and then got another point against us in Sierria Leone.

Some really embarrassing results.

That was how you guys were shouting Samson SiaSia, Siasia came and underperformed.

You shouted Olise Olise, Olise came and couldn't even win matches and left...

Let us see where this your high class coach (Eguavon) will take us...

His CV is not even impressive. Looks like that of a fresh graduate.

We will not go pass group stage...

I am positive Rohr would have grinded out world cup qualification. He was more adept and read games way better. To be fair to him he usually had a limit of 3 substitutes then comparéd to 5 now.

A coach that won all 3 away goals in a world cup qualifier was sacked because of stupiid reasons and to add salt to injury replaced with failure. A coach that was not paid when due by Nff was sacked for a non achiever as a coach. A move hailed by most Nigerians who are purely emotional with no sense of critical or logical reasoning.

A 0-0 draw in Ghana was more or less a loss to us..... Any sensible coach should know that. I knew there was problem when we achieved a goal less draw. In actual fact, i would have preferred we lose by a goal margin away, that way we had a chance of winning todays match.
