Oh....this brings back a very bad and almost forgotten memory to me. Sometime in 2005, I had ordered for a digital television installation (UPC), something like DSTV in Nigeria in my newly rented pad in the Southside of Amsterdam. A young immigrant guy from the Caribbean had been sent over to do the installation for me and we instantly clicked and connected. We had gisted over a drink while he worked away. When he was done and about leaving I decided to hitch a ride with him to the city centre of Amsterdam in his boxed-body pickup truck. We were so engrossed in our discussions and laughs that I almost forgot where I should be alighting and immediately told him I'm okay here. In a bid to quickly exit the car and save him from getting in trouble with the cops due to where he was parked and letting me out of the vehicle, I completely ignored looking through the side mirrors for oncoming vehicles.... My God... The next thing wey I hear na screeedechhhh gbosaaaaaa... Car door don open almost pull. The bike wey jam door don tumble land for ground. I no wan remember this tori jare 2 Likes 1 Share |
