Over the years, there have been over concentration on cattle meats. During feasts and celebration parties such as wedding and burial ceremonies, if you cant provide at least a cow, you're not a man. That's the assertion growing to addition and possibly the sociatal custom until the ban placed on open grazing. Cows are now expensive.
Pigs business is trending, as pigs tend to farrow more piglets. A single soar can farrow almost 3 times per year. The minimum piglets at a single birth is 8 and maximum of let's say 12.
Porks meats are rich as pigs are reared with thrilling feeds or slops. They also in return nourish human diet. The market is far faster than beefs.
Currently an exotic/foreign breed piglet is nothing less than 50,000naira to 70,000. A mature pig can be sold up to 200,000 depending on the weight. Mud money!!!

Depending on your location, if you can locate some good farms. But real exotic breed pigs are only here in Benue as imported by the governor himself who is also into this agricbiz. The foreign pigs in other states are just shakushaku crossed anyhow.
But to get a pregnant soar is very costly, sometimes you book for it and the price differs from farm to farm depending on the animal weight.
Don't just buy pigs anyhow in anyhow farm to avoid infection spread to your farm. Choose wisely please.
How many soar do you want? If you're a starter, it's adviseable to start with piglets maximum of 3 to 5.

You can stitch to your feeds formula; just maintain good diets on them. Large-white 60k piglets available here in Benue. You will sort out the transportation.
