Childish talk.
U finished with 2:1 and so what? Mark zuckerberg, bill gates and Steve Jobs are all school dropout, people should stop using cert as a yardstick for measuring intelligence.
These people have something in common. yea, they should be used as role model but the thing is the life people live is uncertain in this country. you ain't too sure of the outcome, hence you put head here and there just to see that you survive. You think of following the precedent of a white man your African parent or people lashes you.

is that what u think?
U see , every great man, has his own rough story. Every president, soldier, millionaire, graduate has at sometimes in their carrier has the urge to quit, they have been frustrated, they have also cried.

Read about Bill gates, even his parents were a barrier to him when he told them about his dream in computer, even his father angrily poured water on him at dinner cos they wanted him to be a lawyer, today that same Bill gates pulled through, u can read about Silvester stallion, Christiano Ronaldo, Chaplin etc, its not about Africa and western countries but its about mindset, perseverance, consistency and focus because we still have Nigerians who went to those countries and still failed and had no choice but to come back.

The difference between a graduate and a school dropout is because one of them could not handle the pressure

Don't know whether you got the message.

These people you mentioned are worthy of emulation, yes they've set a standard for themselves.
Now the issue here is this...
The mindset we have here is different from the mindset they have.

An average Nigerian parent believes that school is necessary in order to secure a good job which we now know it's now becoming the opposite.

The system here has been hijacked.

Let's say you want to follow the precedence of Bill Gates by dropping out of school and chasing your dreams, what makes you think it'll work for you in this country? Not like it won't, but you'll have to wear off before something happens. The point here is this. It's difficult to meet up to standard here than it is there because the number of support, resources, funds you'll receive there to follow your dreams outweighs that of here. You must have to do things all by yourself compared to what you'd have to do if you were to be in a White man's land.

This is where comparison fails.

David Adeleke (Davido): An Opportunist Who Has Lost Touch With Reality

I just stumbled on a tweet making the rounds in the cyber space credited to one David Adeleke known in the music industry as Davido. The said tweet was made against our gubernatorial candidate hopeful of the People's Democratic Party Mr Bamidele Adeleke in the forthcoming election in Osun State.

It is needless bantering or exchanging words with plurality of voices who are against the BAMIDELE ADELEKE LIBERATION MOVEMENT on the cyber space other than to be more focus and channel all efforts towards the campaigns that will launch our candidate to the front-burner of the gubernatorial race. However, since the tweet was like a child of circumstance and a child of necessity which cannot be ignored, it is very much necessary to school Davido for such reckless and thoughtless tweet and his lack of insight. And also his unfortunate tendency to offer short but poor comparative analysis, especially in an area like politics he knows next to nothing. Everything about his analysis was borne out of his narrow-mindedness.

It is rather appalling that a misguided character like Davido who was a drop out from Oakwood University Alabama, where he had earlier enrolled to study Business Administration, for nothing else than inability to excel academically could ridicule others for intellectual achievement. In his his tweet, he had posited this _"Wonderful! Me I finished Uni with a 2:1. But now cousin Dele who struggled to even get a 2:2 that is now forming "intellectual" intellectual that has not succeeded in building one single thing in his life on his own. This life ehn! Osun beware of FAKES._"

This is laughable and ill-conceived. However, It's important to let Davido know that his tweets could be likened to that of a woolly reasoner—which is devoid of coherency. What do I mean?

Let me quickly touch on those matters that led to the grade which was monetarily-shopped for him, because as at when he David Adeleke dropped out of Oakwood University he was already becoming a subject of ridicule and opprobrium to the discomfort of his father, Dr. Deji Adeleke. I'm not unaware that the primordial consideration in the form of sympathy which arose from the death of his mother, who being a lecturer at Babcock University Ilishan–Remo Ogun State, coupled with the financial inducement paved way for his eventual admission at Babcock University. For the discomfort to his dad, death of her mother and the weight of money in their possession it was deemed fit to erect a department of music for his sake and that paved way for him which by extension eventually made him a degree holder with the said grades he paraded in the cyber space. It's also of pertinent to say, He David Adeleke was a known absentee part time student at Babcock university, yet came on tweeter to display his moral decadence. It's just the case of he who pays the piper dictates the tune. How do I mean, it might interest the public to know that his father Dr. Deji Adeleke, who is a major financier and member of Governing council of Babcock university had to bulldozed his way through when he David Adeleke known as Davido was not qualified to graduate that year.

As a result of the above, the said university you claimed to have graduated from couldn't have allocated anything less to you than the grade you have. Cash and carry. If not that you are deeply plagued with co-morbid disorder, how on earth could a sane person, if not a substance–induced psychotic opportunist like you compare a 2:1 from Babcock University to a 2:2 from the great citadel of learning, Obafemi Awolowo University?

In as much as this article does not in anyway denigrate the academic performance of other students who might have graduated from the said university and those still under the tutelage of the said university, it is an issue that concerns you and not others. On this note, I must write to put history in its proper perspective and it is that David Adeleke known as Davido has no academic stamina to be the one to stage a comparison of such academic magnitude.

It's also imperative to educate David Adeleke that If he claimed Mr Bamidele Adeleke struggled to have graduated with a 2:2, that the manner in which he chose the word Struggle just to berate Mr Bamidele Adeleke corroborated my earlier position in this article that he David Adeleke is just an opportunist, who got his self-acclaimed 2:1 out of no struggle or rigorous reading---better put on a platter of Gold. Similarly, the manner in which he devised the word Struggle therein, speaks volumes about the credence of the said institution as a degree awarding one.

It is also imperative to let him, David Adeleke to know that those of us that had gone through the academic rigour of Obafemi Awolowo University, the great citadel of learning pride ourselves in the manner in which we were all trained. And never in his entire sojourn on the planet earth should he made such a cheap comparison of the grade shopped for him at the said university to that of Obafemi Awolowo University. Your self-acclaimed 2:1 cannot be rated , even neither can it match up with a pass grade from that great citadel of learning.

Conversely, like you posited in you viral tweets "Osun beware of FAKES;" of course members of the people's Democratic Party and the good people of Osun State in particular, must be watchful and meticulous enough to discern correctly this time around, and I believe they are doing it correctly. Time shall tell who is actually a fake person between your uncle Sen. Demola Adeleke whom you are evangelizing his aspiration and your cousin Mr Bamidele Adeleke whom you aimed at berating in your tweets.

At the appropriate time, the posterior of the one parading fake credentials— who ordinarily should have had an O'level at his youthful age but failed to, but now parading a degree that has no basic school certificate would be seen.

Before I cap it up, let me educate you that political leadership is not the personal property of any person, dynasty or group. Ever since Mr Bamidele Adeleke threw his hat into the gubernatorial ring, yourself and those that shared same sentiment have had your bellies full with bile, which is oozing out in torrential flow to the manner that he, Mr Bamidele Adeleke has been described in unprintable fashion in the last couple of months.

May I let you know that he, Mr Bamidele Adeleke has put his hands on the plough and there's no going back because no amount of name-callings and character assassination can wipe him off the mind of the People. Mr Bamidele Adeleke has carved a niche for himself in the spectrum of politics, both in Osun State and by extension Nigeria.
