Your mindset or pattern of thinking could give the devil a legal footing to your breakthrough.

He said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” The clean turban on Joshua’s head represents a clean and healthy mind. This means that part of Satan’s legal standing had to do with the spiritual condition of Joshua’s mind. Satan had probably found impure thoughts in Joshua’s mind.

He had discovered thinking patterns or mindsets in Joshua’s mind that were
more aligned with the kingdom of darkness than with the Kingdom of God.
The writer of Proverbs tells us this: “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he”
(Prov. 23:7)! Sometimes, how we think can give the devil a legal footing to resist our God-given destiny or supplant our spiritual authority. Think about this — if we mentally agree with the spirit of poverty, how can God deliver us
from it? If we think and believe that we are poor, why would the devil allow money to find its way into our pockets? When the Angel of the Lord instructed that a clean turban be placed upon Joshua’s head, He was removing whatever mindset or pattern of thinking that was giving the devil a legal footing.
