Covid19 Vaccination. Compulsory For Commoners But Not For Delight. by Obigods: 9:49pm On Jan 21, 2022
Is it part of criteria to contest for am elective post in Nigeria. Then Why this
A mail a friend got from his company ( a leading power plant in the country based in Delta state owned by a worldwide known philanthropist) this night
Good evening Team,

As we may have all received the attached policy as our new Covid 19 protocols, HR is moving to fully implement the attached policy. For this reason, HR requests all team members to share their Covid 19 certificate with HR to update and record all vaccinated team members. We will be giving a one-week grace period for all team members to get vaccinated.

From 31st January 2022, HR will have an updated Covid 19 register with all vaccinated team members. Even if you are vaccinated in the plant, kindly register as a vaccinated team member with the HR team. For team members who do not want to get vaccinated, you must conduct weekly tests in a Covid 19 test for an NCDC approved center. The weekly tests should be done on Fridays, and result must be ready before Monday the next week. Only negative results will be allowed entry into the plant. All test results will be sent to our technical partners and the entire process will be managed from there.

Please find below an excerpt from the approved policy:The organization STRONGLY encourages all staff to get vaccinated
against the COVID-19 virus.
• Staff who are expected to work from the office will be required to be
fully vaccinated and provide evidence to this effect before they are
allowed into the office.
• The Organisation will respect staff Individual rights to choose whether to
take the vaccine. But the organisation reserves the right to take
measures to protect its staff, customers and anyone that dutifully enters
the premises.
• Staff who do not partake in the vaccination exercise will be required to
provide a negative covid test result EVERY week.
• Unvaccinated staff who fail to provide this weekly negative test result will
not be admitted into the office premises. Deductions from monthly
remuneration for absenteeism will apply in this instance.
• Any staff who cannot take the vaccination on medical grounds will be
required to submit a medical exemption letter, which will be validated
by an independent medical centre appointed by the organization.
Such a staff will be required to undergo Covid19 PCR test weekly in line
with their unvaccinated status.
• For ease of co-ordination, test results should be presented to the HR
Head on Monday at 7.30am.
• Falsification of the PCR test results will lead to instant termination of
appointment.

A comprehensive list of all vaccinated team members, in addition to negative Covid 19 test will be sent to the Security team before 7am every Monday. Only those team members names recorded will be allowed entry into the plant. We advise the entire team to use this week to get tested. Without a Covid vaccination card shown to the HR team on or before the 28th of January 2022, no one will be allowed entry into the plant from 31st January 2022.

If you have any further questions, please contact me directly for resolution.
