Tell A Story Magazine - TASMAG (www.tasmag.com) is an online magazine start-up dedicated and committed to nurturing the next generation of Nigerian Writers. TASMAG is entering the second phase of her development; the Reward Stage. To kick off this phase, TASMAG is starting a new category called “Hyperlocal”.

Hyperlocal simply refers to information or contents focused on a particular town, city or a geographically defined community. TASMAG intends to give a new definition to Hyperlocal by giving your an opportunity to share the amazing stories of Nigerian Communities.

We are giving you an opportunity to tell the untold stories and issues not covered by mainstream media. This new category gives the writing licence to report and tell the world about those unique stories that makes your city tick and sometimes stop.

You also have the podium to discuss societal problems, environmental challenges and; while doing so, your story can get to the appropriate authorities. Besides, your stories can inspire you or someone to create a social enterprise to solve these problems. Photo stories, reports and events from around Nigeria are also welcomed.

Do you know your stories can assist a Youth Corper or someone who just relocated to your city or Nigerians abroad who wants to stay connected to their roots? It is also important to tell the stories of the unsung heroes in your community. Let the world know about groups or NGOs that has life-changing impact on your community.

Oh, the reward? TASMAG will pay you N500 for every approved article; that is just a token of appreciation for your contribution. These articles under this new category will be available via www.tasmag.com/hyperlocal.

We expect to receive entries from all over Nigeria; therefore there will be sub-categories under the Hyperlocal category based on the location of the sent in articles.

Moreover, you can also contribute to other categories available on TASMAG and get rewarded as well.

NOTE: The N500 per article reward only lasts between 5th May and 5th June, 2015. The names of contributors and amount to be paid out will be publicly displayed on our website. All payments and gifts will be sent out on the 15th of June, 2015. From June, only the most engaging article wins a gift at the end of every month. More reward plans will be unfolded in the coming months.
Important Information.

1. First and Foremost, remember to KISS (Keep It Short and Simple).

2. Your articles should be Authentic and creative.

3. If you are submitting a photo story, please attach at least 4 images to the article to be sent in.

4. Your story should not be less than 400 words.
How to submit entries

Articles under this category will start going live on the 5th of May, 2015.

1. Once your article is ready, simply shoot us an email at tellus @ tasmag.com . Remember to attach necessary images within the article.

2. i. Sign up at www.tasmag.com/register and read this note on how to contribute on TASMAG.

ii. Login to your account

iii. Post your articles and hit "Submit for review" button.

Once you article goes live, share with your friends and family. Ask them to leave comment on your entry and get a conversation started. The most engaging article also wins a gift.
