AOCOED- COEASU HAILS LAGOS GOVT AS AOCOED TURNS LASUED, ASSURES EFFICIENCY AND COOPERATION .

The executives of the Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union of the Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Otto/ Ijanikin, Lagos, have applauded the Lagos state govt for the latest transmutation of the old college to a University of Education status, stressing that it is a response to an age long clarion call and a sign of governmental responsiveness.


AOCOED- COEASU'S chairman, Comrade Ajayi Ige stated these in a press release made available to newsmen who converged at their press conference on Tuesday.


According to Ige, the latest move of the Lagos state govt is a reflection of the proactive nature of this administration in providing the yearnings of the people.


He proceeded to laud the management of the college under the leadership of Professor B.B. Lafiaji Okuneye, provost of AOCOED, referring to it as one leadership that has reasonably brought sanity upon the school by ensuring prompt payment of salaries and more.


He therefore assured that the union will cooperate maximally with govt and school management in pursing the full actualisation of the upgrade, pointing that sometime ago, the COEASU-AOCOED instituted a committee to look into the resumes of members in preparation for this delighting development, specially with the view to remaining relevant in the latest scheme of things.
In the same vein, former president of COEASU, Victor Akinola, used the medium to appeal to the authorities to adopt ways that will prioritize the interest of the staffers who have sacrificed so much into the developmental phases of the premier institution.


More so, Comrade Sunday Fowowe while hailing Lagos state govt and the management of AOCOED on this great feat, stated that all policies and decisions must be such that will be friendly to the staffers who have been steadfast in the processes that gave the school its name and fame.


He also described the provost of AOCOED as a unique administrator who has already achieved a paradigm shift.
