With News making rounds about the Upgrade and transformation of the said tertiary institutions the National University Commision (NUC) and Lagos state government has informed Nigerians and relevant government agencies of the creation of this new Universities, which in the real sense are just an upgrade of existing Lagos state polytechnic (Laspotech) Ikorodu and Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education (Aocoed) Ijaniki, one can only image the opportunities presented to young degree seeking youths from the state and neighboring states to pursue their academic career and ambitions from this newly established universities.

With this news one expects an enlarged campus, expanded faculties and teaching staff and increase in courses to be offered.

What are the opportunities here;

Quality of education due to upgrade
More jobs for non teaching staffs
New Hostels and Investment opportunities in real estate around this areas
More services like CyberCafe, prints, and other jobs you usually notice around a school campus since there will be an increase in prospective students and admitted students.

Ikorodu is known as a real estate developing hub where many people are purchasing lands and properties.
Ijanikin also have good sites for estate development and for those interested in building Hostels to accommodate the incoming Flux of new students applying to these universities.

Ijanikin is also 2km from Agbara Industrial hub (Ogun state) and thus present alot of opportunities for investors and students alike.

Barely 10kms away is Iyana-Isashi, Okamoto area where many real estate companies are pitching their tents and contending for resources as well as prospective investors with over 60acre of lands available in these areas.

Since the govt of Lagos has stylishly phased out these Ond-Hnd Awarding institutions not minding the HnD-Bsc Dichotomy that has been for years
