Gabon, it pays to know the product you're selling.

You've advertised this car as having a 2,0 engine, which it doesn't have. There were two 2,0 models, 2,0 8V and 2,0 16V. Both wer GTI models. Yours clearly isn't a GTI, so can't be a 2,0. The largest petrol engine in a non-GTI is the 1,8, which was fitted to L, CL and GL models.

Bro, My first name is Audi, second Volkswagen, and I can tell you for nothing, unless your Volkswagen Golf III is a GTI, it won't have a 2,0 engine. Volkswagen never built one. Unless it's been fitted as a replacement for a dead 1,6 / 1,8L engine, in which case you'll have to clearly state so in your advert.

GL, CL and L are merely trim levels. The GTI however, refers to both trim level and engine type. The GTI is a 2,0 8 or 16V, 8V gives 115 bhp, 16V gives 150. They're both the thirsty ones, with the 16V slurping most.

VR6 - 2,9 12V 174 bhp - 29 mpg (24 mpg auto).
VR6 - 2,8 12V 190 bhp - 31 mpg (26 mpg auto).
GTI - 2,0 8V 115 bhp - 34 mpg.
GTI - 2,0 16V 150 bhp - 32 mpg.
GL - 1,8 8V 90 bhp - 33 mpg (32 mpg auto).
GL - 1,6 8V 75 bhp - 40 mpg.
CL - 1,8 8V 75 bhp - 37 mpg (31 mpg auto).
CL - 1,4 8V 60 bhp - 40 mpg (35 mpg auto).

Pick of the bunch, in terms of fuel economy combined with a reasonable level of performance, would be the CL 1,8 75 bhp.

please baba sienna...my brother just brought back a golf 3 CL automatic gear.please how do i know if its 1.6 engine or 1.8.also does d automatic gearbox give problems like they say it does
