A publishing firm based in Lagos, has vacancy for the post of a WEB JOURNALIST.

The ideal candidate, aside being a journalist, must be web savvy with good knowledge of Word Press Management System, website analytics tools, digital marketing certified, with social media skills set. If the description fit you, then apply.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Generate authentic health news stories daily.
• Write and optimise health news stories for the website and social networking accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram.
• Develop and edit health-related videos for the site weekly.
• Coverage of healthcare events.
• Sourcing of adverts for the website.
• Ability to upload content on Word Press Management System.
• Attain key performance indicators such as generating more visits to the site, reducing the website bounce rate, increasing dwell time or improving conversion.
• Develop and manage periodic digital marketing campaigns.
• Continually work on the Search Engine Optimisation of the website.
• Arrange webinars with our readers online.

REQUIREMENTS

- A University degree in Mass Communication, English, Marketing or any related field, with proven working experience as a journalist.
- Demonstrable experience in SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
- Minimum of two years’ experience in journalism is crucial.
- Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends).
